MAVICO is an agro-processing company that buys, processes, packs and exports vanilla from Bukoba, Kagera region in Tanzania. Bukoba is located on the shores of Lake Victoria, 80 km (50 miles) south of Uganda border - 2 degrees latitude south of the equator.

To ensure superior quality, MAVICO buys and processes only mature, organic and first quality beans from the farmers. The beans are approximately 10 to 23 cm long. The beans are dark brownish to blackish in color, highly aromatic, supple, oily in appearance, free from mold, insects and blemishes and are EU organic certified.

MAVICO’s vanilla is processed in our Bukoba plant by a team of highly skilled staff. The curing process reduces the moisture content of the beans to 22-25%; stimulating the vanillin production and giving the vanilla its unique flavor.
